On Sunday April 26, 2009, before a large enthusiastic proud audience in Carle Place, on Long Island, the distinguished Italian American educator Dr. Vincenzo Milione received his latest of many awards but among the most cherished from fellow Italian American educators. Being honored by ones one profession with their highest award is special indeed as Dr. Milione now has been.

In NYS State Senator Diane Savino’s inspiring introduction and then in Dr Milione’s own towering remarks is the essence of a far more elaborate celebration that took place on April 26th of Dr. Milione’s life of achievement as an Italian American scholar and beyond as an educational role model for every group and individual in America.
